Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali → Akagera National Park
- Scenic drive to Akagera; check in and relax at Magashi Camp or Ruzizi Tented Lodge.
Day 2: Big Five Game Drive & Boat Safari
- Early morning game drive in Akagera; enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ihema in the afternoon.
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
- Drive south through Rwanda’s lush landscapes to Nyungwe; check in and take an optional nature walk.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy Walk
- Track chimpanzees at dawn; later, experience the iconic Canopy Walk over the ancient rainforest.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Trek & Drive to Musanze
- Morning golden monkey tracking; afternoon transfer north to Musanze near Volcanoes NP.
Day 6: Return to Kigali & Departure
- After breakfast, drive back to Kigali; drop-off for departure or onward travel.
