Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Arusha

  • Arrive Kilimanjaro Int’l Airport; transferred to Arusha lodge.
  • Evening gear check & welcome briefing.
  • Sunset silhouette shots of Mount Meru from lodge gardens.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire NP

  • Morning drive into Tarangire: photograph elephant herds under baobabs.
  • Golden-hour savannah landscapes.
  • Campfire shoot under the Milky Way.

Day 3: Full Day Tarangire

  • Pre-dawn game drive: lions on termite mounds; bee-eaters in flight.
  • Midday birds and river-crossing sequences.
  • Evening review session of best frames.

Day 4: Tarangire → Lake Eyasi

  • Maasai Boma shoot: beadwork, jumping dances.
  • Arrive Lake Eyasi: salt-flat reflections & astrophotography after dark.

Day 5: Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes → Karatu

  • Sunrise hunt with Hadzabe—photojournalistic portraits.
  • Datoga blacksmith portraits & detail shots.
  • Transfer to Karatu for highland landscapes.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

  • Descend into the crater: rhinos, flamingos, lion pride close-ups.
  • Panoramic crater-floor sweeps.

Day 7: Karatu → Serengeti

  • Scenic drive through highlands into Serengeti.
  • Afternoon game drive in the region of the season’s Migration front.

Day 8: Full Day Serengeti

  • Optional sunrise hot-air balloon shoot (advance booking).
  • Great Migration herds, predator action, river crossings.

Day 9: Another Day in Serengeti

  • Alternate crossing sites, predator interactions, night-time wildlife (where lodge permits).

Day 10: Serengeti → Karatu

  • Morning safari; return through Ngorongoro highlands—landscape transitions.
  • Evening in Karatu—coffee plantation macro & village life.

Day 11: Karatu → Arusha

  • Leisurely morning: garden macro, bird portraits at lodge.
  • Free afternoon: optional market visit & final sunset shoot in Arusha.

Day 12: Departure

  • Breakfast and transfer to Kilimanjaro Int’l Airport.
