7 DAYS WILDEBEEST CALVING SEASON
This seven-day Wildebeest Migration Calving Season safari combines visits to the Ndutu region of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. Witness the birth of up to 8000 calves a day during this magical time for the Wildebeest Migration. Our safari is aimed at the calving season when the massive herds of wildebeest arrive in the Southern most point of their migration over February and March. This is without a doubt one of the best times to witness this extraordinary spectacle when the herds find themselves on the vast open plains of the southern Serengeti and Ndutu plains.
DAY ONE: Arusha - Ndutu Area
Pick up from Arusha, collect packed lunch and drive to Ndutu area which is transitional border between Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro conservation area. Enjoy animal viewing in the vast plain of Ndutu
Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Heritage Tented Camp
DAY TWO: Ndutu Area
After breakfast, drive for full day game drives in Ndutu area which is most famous for wildebeest calving site

DAY THREE: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite.

DAY FIVE: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, collect packed lunch and drive to Ngorongoro crater for Game drive
Dinner and overnight at Eileen Trees Inn
DAY SIX: Tarangire National Park - Arusha
After breakfast, collect packed lunch and drive to Tarangire area for an afternoon game viewing in Tarangire National park, a small breath taking Park with an immense natural richness surrounded by ancient baobab trees. Afternoon drive to Arusha.
